The University of Prince Edward Island is located in the provincial capital of Charlottetown, Canada’s birthplace. Its small size and location in a mixed rural/urban environment contribute to its distinctive character.
With a history of 200 years, UPEI builds on the history and architecture of its predecessor institutions.
The University of Prince Edward Island offers a wide range of undergraduate, graduate and professional programs, in a setting that gives students a balanced environment of teaching, research and community services.
The Atlantic Veterinary College and the Faculty of Science of the University of Prince Edward Island offer MSc and PhD programs in a wide range of disciplines related to animal and human health, biology and chemistry. In addition, UPEI offers a master’s in education, a master’s in island studies and a master’s in applied health services research.
