Principal's Message
Since 1919, Brescia has offered its women students a unique university environment. We challenge our students to achieve their individual best through their years of study and to have confidence in their ability to reach whatever goals they set for themselves. We provide our students with the support of a caring community as they decide the roles they will play over the next several stages of their lives.
Brescia students receive an education that emphasizes critical thinking and effective communication. Students are active participants in their education, inspired by small classes and by professors who are committed to helping each student achieve her best. Our graduates are active participants in the world around them, following a diversity of career and life paths.
Brescia is a welcoming community, open to students from all faiths and all ethnic backgrounds. We value our Catholic roots, but are proud of the vibrant and multifaceted student body that characterizes Brescia today.
As Canada's only university-level women's college, we provide women students with opportunities and tools to advance to leadership in society. Our commitment to women benefits men and women by permitting both to transform and transcend traditional societal roles.
The College's Ursuline heritage continues to inspire the Brescia mission. We educate women to respond with wisdom, justice and compassion to changing times and circumstances. Our goal is to touch both the mind and the heart of each student who studies with us.
I invite you to browse our website and explore the many academic opportunities available at Brescia.
